Ryder System has announced a discount program for women-owned businesses that are members of the Women in Trucking Association (WIT). For a limited time, purchasers can receive 5% off the purchase price of pre-owned commercial vehicles.
The sales event, according to Ryder, expands the company's commitment to providing customers with the flexibility, choice, and control required for effective fleet management.
"Ryder's primary objective is to continuously improve the customer experience by making it as easy as possible to acquire the best pre-owned commercial vehicle," explains Ryder's vice president of global vehicle sales, Eugene Tangney. "Similar to Ryder's discount for military personnel on used vehicles, we wanted to recognize women-owned businesses in the trucking industry and encourage more women to pursue trucking-related careers."
Ryder stated that its process for purchasing a used vehicle is accessible and simple for customers, allowing prospective purchasers to peruse vehicles online and purchase them remotely if they are not located near a Ryder Used Truck Center. In addition, Ryder personnel is available to advise prospective purchasers on the vehicle best suitable for their businesses and to provide a comprehensive report on the vehicle's maintenance history.
